- Five European Cups, Eighteen leagues... that’s what we call history.
At a club like Liverpool Football Club, the list of legends and greats is endless and rivals any in the game. The managing staff from the past make up the core of our club, the backbone for our success which gives us the right to be spoken in the same breath as Europe’s greatest and most successful clubs. The list of our managers might only be short, but that’s testament to theirs and our success. The list of great players on the other hand is one to behold. Kevin Keegan, Kenny Daglish, Graeme Souness, Ian Rush, Peter Beardsley, Alan Hansen, Sammy Lee and Mark Lawrenson are just a small number from past times; Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Robbie Fowler in more recent times add to those names that inspire our greatness. Such names are what define Liverpool Football Club and define what we stand for today. These names are what spur the new generation on for new found success which we know is imminent. King Kenny’s recent return has reignited a flame at Liverpool Football Club which like any flame at LFC, has never burnt out. Everyone surrounding this great football club knows the good times are upon us and King Kenny is leading the helm. With overseas talent such as Luis Suarez, Pepe Reina and Jose Enrique in our ranks, to homegrown talent like young Jay Spearing and Martin Kelly who are nurtured by our own scouse legends Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard, at Liverpool FC we have discovered a new breed of attack minded football which is slowly but surely molding into place. It won’t be long before this club is back where it belongs, of that there is no doubt.
